you're also not supposed to clean IN your ear because it compacts wax. you're only supposed to clean like the outside parts?? basically you shouldn't be putting pressure in your ear canal at all because it can cause all kinds of problems - wax building being one of them

Yeah p much

I clean my ears daily and I haven't had wax buildup problems in years.
I do it by doing a circle motion on the outside of the canal; it seems to get it clean without pushing wax in.

So yeah don't ever push a q-tip into your ear

wondering why the side of my tongue hurts and i go look in the mirror to find it's covered in bite marks and it noticeably flatter than the other side because of it

i don't even know how or when that happened

Thanks for the advice people. I tried one of those ear cleaning solutions and my ear seems to be fine now. Hasn't bothered me any in the past couple days at least.

I'm becoming increasingly convinced that I'm lactose intolerant. I've been taking Lactaid to help me digest milk products and yesterday I forgot to take some with dinner (it was chicken alfreda) and today I regretted it.

late late late late but
This is exactly why my doctor put me on my birth control pill. Though, ive debated going on the needle and having my periods stopping, when I get back to Germany I'd run into he same problem Shazza was talking about With the whole "I'm doing the do and where is my period? oh god what if im pregnant" Thing before it came three months later.
Also very late: Pills. Taking them
certain pills I can take completely dry. my BC and tylenol I can take no problem. but when it comes to like, Advils and stuff, I need a bit of liquid. actually, before I was put under for my wisdom teeth removal my surgeon gave me about 5 different pills to take and I just kinda took a small sip of water and knocked em all back at once.

Also
am I the only one who gets blackheads on her legs?

You can safely say that you are intolerant, the majority of people are. It's just a question of how much dairy you can "handle" before your stomach flips out. I can eat 1-2 cheesy meals a day and be (relatively) fine, or have some ice cream or yogurt or whatever, but a coworker of mine can't even eat milk chocolate without getting sick.

is the pill something that you can start taking suddenly and then come off suddenly or is it one of those things that has to be in your system for a long time to work?

Hard cheese contains no lactose though. Most western people aren't lactose intolerant, it's just that everyone has a certain limit of how much lactase they can produce in their small intestine at a time, which is more than enough for most every meal for most people.

it takes two weeks i think to become fully protected but you might go 4-6 months before your hormones balance out properly. some people will have mood swings and weird periods during that time (i didn't but everyone is different.) coming off is pretty easy though but it technically stays in your system for a while but you can pretty much get pregnant after not taking it for 2 days or so.

Sorry, its something like 75% of people globally are intolerant, but a majority of White people are not, which is why dairy stuff is everywhere in the western world. All I meant was that it's not an uncommon or weird thing.

I thought most cheese has a tiny amount of lactose, but I'm no expert. I know can definitely digest cheesy things better than say, a milkshake, since its just a dairy product mixed with milk. Anyway, even if you're not lactose intolerant different foods can affect you in different ways, so it's good to take note of what you're eating to see what's causing the problem.

My doctor told me you can start having sex about 2 weeks after the pill, but when I asked my pharmacist he said it's b.s. and it only takes a couple days. I don't remember his reasoning as to why doctors lengthen the time-frame. I had to wait until 2 weeks anyway, and even goin' bare I was just fine in terms of not getting preggo. (I don't recommend not using condoms as a rule though okay.) As for regulating periods, that depends on you and the pill you're taking (because the levels of estrogen vary in pills).

~*~Periods~*~

My pill is called Tri-Nessa and it took two months' worth of pills to go into effect. It probably would've only taken one month, but I was dumb and tried to skip the sugar pills to skip my period because it was going to start towards the end of my visit seeing Tuxedo Mask, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand that only ended up giving me a period for 9 days. (Apparently if you try skipping the sugar pills to eliminate your period, it takes 3-4 months of doing so for your period to fully stop and things get wonky inbetween - this might just be for Tri-Nessa, tho'.) I stopped taking the pills and waited until the end of my next period to start again, and my first period after that was gr8. I used to have fairly moderate to heavy flows, and now they are at most light. Some days I don't even need tampons, I just have a panty liner and those things are so tiny and flimsy, but it's all I need. :D My period was also shortened from 5-6 days to 3-4.

Oh also pills do make your tiddies grow so be prepared to buy new bras.
