Spooky Scary Stuff

Post by Cynical Slob »

List your number 3 biggest fears, maybe even your phobia(s) too!

I don't think I have any phobias, but one time I was on some tight ropes and I just sorta got to the middle and started freaking out and stopped moving. That was a bit silly.

But I think my biggest fears are:

1. Being in prison (not a crim I swear)
2. Losing a limb
3. Trapped in a coffin

Interesting stuff, huh?

I'd argue that this thread is different enough to warrant a new thread. People can discuss their fears and whatnot as well, instead of having yet another general thread.

I'm hemophobic, but really only when it comes to cutting or slicing body parts, i.e. I can't watch the scene in Pirates of the Caribbean when they cut Elizabeth's hand without cringing and feeling sick.

I have a terrible fear of eyeballs being damaged. This extends to all kinds, not just human.

I also have an odd kind of fear of heights. It only applies if I'm inside.

Don't do posts like that. People are free to make the threads they want.

Extreme acrophobia. I don't even like being on unstable ground or climbing ladders.
The A in this case stands for Armageddon. As in, Armageddon a boner because this plane has a fucking HOWITZER sticking out of it.

As I mentioned in another thread, I have a big fear of losing my sight.
Otherwise nothing in particular scares me a lot.

Going blind, deaf or otherwise losing a sense, any kind of medical body horror, especially diseases like cancer that eats away at you, and Stephen Hawking. Yeah, I know, but I just find the way he just sits there incredibly disturbing, like a living corpse.

Unstable ground is fun. But yeah, ladders and pretty much anything >5 meters high. How did I survive flying in a plane?

Fucking spiders man. Motherfucking spiders. I get a lot of them where I am and they're terrifying big shelob bastards. Trapdoor spiders, huntsmans(huntsmen?), whitebacks, redtails, AND SOME I CAN'T EVEN IDENTIFY. One night a few years back I woke up half way through the night, felt like reading for a bit, and when I turned the light on there was a meaty fucker who looked like something from the underdark. I sleep with a crowbar next to the bed, so I beat the fucker right into the wall, left a massive hole. Not pretty. Giblets everywhere. Talkin blast zone here.

Body Horror used to scare the shit out of me. Even the servitors from 40k made my skin crawl and disturbed me. Now I just find them really interesting, which is weird, I suppose.
