Please tell me this is serious and not a stupid joke.

Considering we're discussing whether certain behavior on the forum is inappropriate and childish, a fake mod promotion because of a squabble seems counter productive to dialogue.

Not a good move as Kamak said. One could almost take it to mean an attempt at spiting someone in particular. Which goes directly opposite to what's been stated. But surely that can't be it.

Doesn't really matter whose idea it was, as Lolita stated there's only one mod on, meaning she agreed to it. Just after saying she shut down a thread because of bullying, being an asshole, etc. And honestly? Asking a mod for a green name just to spite me when I said I hope you never become a mod falls right under that middle reason just perfectly.

This reminds me of when the bad forum I went to had the proletariats call themselves nannies and made posts to members about cleaning up their messes and playing nice "with the other kids" because someone told them that they needed to be less anal and on top of all of the members. All while still harassing people over PMs about how they were terrible people, which was the issue to begin with.

Needless to say, that erupted into a big issue and really was not as funny to the members as the proletariats found it, even though the proletariats intended it as a joke to diffuse the situation (without actually having to do anything about it).

It still doesn't make it funny given the context of what we're discussing. Maybe if it was something dumb in unimportant, but not when we're discussing issues of "what should or shouldn't be passively accepted on the forum".

Can we get back to discussing the issue at hand now?

This situation aside I do feel like we need some more moderators.

It was something I wanted to bring up a few weeks back when I blew up at princess brothel: I noticed at the time that Lolita and Vax were online and had ample opportunity to stop me or princess brothel from going too far - but they did very little (mostly nothing) to keep the argument civil - instead it came down to Great Handsome Oppressor (almost a whole day later) to call us out (mostly me - rightly so) for going overboard.

I don't know if Vax or Lolita are afraid of me or something - but I feel like either one should have stepped in earlier because they were both online and had the opportunity to do so.

The Big Cheese never seems to be around; I take it that Vax generally can't (or won't) moderate very often; Spoony? I have no idea - and I guess that Great Handsome Oppressor has a job now so probably can't be online as much or whatever.

It seems like a scenario in dire need of fixing/patching.


If Chopstix is gonna be a mod I just hope he won't lock a thread every time snakes/pictures of snakes come up.

it's not that i was afraid to stop you, i just never log out of AZ so if i say i'm logged in i might be off somewhere doing something else because i am A+ moderator

and yes, i'm planning on taking it up with the other proletariats later and seeing if we can get a night mod on here. nothing is set in stone yet, though, so don't go PMing me or the other proletariats saying you wanna be a mod.

I'm not sure all of the proletariats read all of the threads. Unless someone reports posts, it really just depends on the mod stumbling upon it.

So Vax and Loli could have been on the whole time it was going on, but they just weren't reading the thread.

Though, I do have to agree a bit. It feels like Great Handsome Oppressor is the main moderating force of the forum. Dark does the behind the scenes stuff and is the final authority (and doesn't really seem to have time for constant moderating), but it does seem like the other proletariats don't do much, most of them seem to be barely active (which is fine, but if this is the case, we need more people to replace them), and Loli really is the only other one who does stuff and doesn't seem quite... sure of herself yet?

Granted, we don't see what happens behind everything, but that's just how it feels from this side.
