Re: Avatars & signatures.

That's a Mary Sue power if I ever heard one. No offense. I'm sincerely curious, why do you think that? EDIT: I never said he becomes proficient in what he reads. I said he is able to discern the writing's content and meaning. So he can touch a Physics text book and "read" all about friction and var...

Re: Avatars & signatures.

Ah, I see what you're saying. No, he doesn't discern the writing exactly as it appears, more of its meaning and content. So he is capable of "reading" a book in a foreign, lost, or coded language as easily as he can an English novel.

Re: It's moments like these that you need Minties

I need to stop dreaming of delivering papers. I do that shit enough in real life.

Re: Avatars & signatures.

But then why is the book open and his face aimed at it? It's not actually. Looked over the commission information I sent and he's getting ready to fight someone in front of him, off the screen where he's looking. EDIT: Why would it matter how a book was put on the shelf? The writing is still the sa...

Re: Avatars & signatures.

The character is capable of discerning any writing he touches. He can read by dragging his finger along a shelf of books.

I put my fleece blanket over the window for a makeshift blackout curtain and got an awesome four hour nap.

Re: Movies

Original movie Wonka.

I am well aware of Roald Dahl and his fucked up, yet great, books.

Re: Movies

One very fucked up children's film. Featuring inflation, fats kids sent to be cut up into marshmallows, shrinking, implied incineration, and of course the good ol' Tunnel of Horrors.

Gene Wilder was the whole reason I loved it. Not even Johnny Depp can top the original Willy Wonka.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic

So how will Jedi and Sith work in this game? Is it going to be a prestige class, randomly unlockable, or will they be everywhere?

Re: Movies

I remember going into it hesitantly, thinking it was going to be another barrage of juvenile jokes like a lot of comedy.

Turned out to be the second funniest movie I saw the year. First was Robin Hood: Men in Tights.

Re: Movies

Haven't seen Last Samurai in years, but I do remember it was good.

Got the urge to watch Wild Hogs again.
