World of Warcraft then. Ran it fine when it released, system hasn't aged well.
Lemme see if I have a newer game around. Oblivion runs, on lowest settings, but it crashes constantly due to the video card.

Re: Tech help general
Yeah, I did an upgrade. Purchased this computer in late 2002-early 2003.
And of course it isn't. That's kind of been my point. And reasonably well? Diablo II without stuttering. I'd say World of Warcraft but that did crash every so often and it needed to be on lowest of low settings.

Re: All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for
Wikipedia has a hard-on for deleting webcomic pages. They believe webcomics aren't noteworthy enough and actively work against them being on the site.

Re: World of Warcraft
That wasn't too bad if you did it as a group.
Made leveling through STV a massive pain in the booty though.

By which time I will have the cheddar for a new one. If the machine lasts me even five years of games both past (Oblivion onwards) and then-present then I will be satisfied and ready to upgrade.

Re: Tech help general
I've lasted on nine years of games with this current machine that fails even running Poker Night at the Inventory. You underestimate the massive backlog of games I will amass once I get a new rig. I won't worry about upgrades for many years.

Re: World of Warcraft
It takes two weeks total to get 150 Marks of the World tree. There are 2 factions that each need 150 marks of the world tree to be used in order to unlock them. Both factions are required to advance the zone and unlock further vendors. fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff Two weeks? That's...

Re: Tech help general
For what it's worth I am very interested in this technical talk as I've been working towards the dough to personally construct a machine I shall dub Enigma. It will destroy all games from the past and for years to come, never coming down from maximum settings.
At least that's my goal.

Do not get an Alienware. It's the same components put into standard Dell desktops dressed up in shiny lights and clear cases.
Bit of a shame really. I remember when Alienware was the pinnacle of PC gaming hardware.

My brother watched Donnie Darko and liked it. Then he decided to watch Fight Club and I hung around the living room just to see the look on his face as it unfolded. Glorious. I haven't seen that expression since I saw someone watch the end to a Gainax anime.

5 Hour Energy consists of caffeine (the equivalent of a cup of black coffee) and an ingredient list they refuse to reveal. Dunno about you but I want nothing to do with mystery substances going into me.
