Re: General Game Gabbin'

I remember Ben Kuchera and co starting drama, but that was over a year ago though.

I think almost any one who has been outspoken about the sad state of gaming journalism has been met with a lot of backlash though.

Re: General Game Gabbin'

Don't forget when gaming journalists start to harass actually decent opinion writers like Eric Kain.

Re: Favorite YouTube LPers

There are a bunch of frame drops and erratic actor movement. Converting to 30fps for the youtube video probably hid a lot of it though.

Re: General Game Gabbin'

Played CoD2 (among other things) at a LAN. The Kar98k has got to be one of the most OP guns ever.

Also, I had to use my shitty laptop that's falling apart instead of my fancy "gaming" gear, and while it was noticeably less comfortable, I can't say I noticed a real difference in my performance.

Heh.

STAR really does love glass cannons, so much firepower but no health boosts or something.

Re: Movies

Saw Rise of The Planet of The Apes. I liked it quite a bit, even though it sometimes played fast and loose with my suspension of disbelief and it was a touch melodramatic. These prequels are quite finely crafted and not the cashgrab some have made them out to be.

Re: Books and shit

Here's what my google-fu brought up Thread on the excellent AskHistorians subreddit about military strategy books Edward N Luttwak, The Grand Strategy of the Byzantine Empire And from my own memory, I suppose De Bello Gallico by Julius Caesar might be of interest. Sorry if this isn't much, I remembe...
