Gen 4 wasn't hard. Only hard-ish part was Cynthia. Gen 5 was pretty easy save a few fights here and there. Gen 6 is easy if you use the exp. share, but I found the levels kept up right with you if you don't use it and can be pretty challenging. Seriously, no one plays pokemon for a challenging main...
