I know that you get a random shard as a consolation prize if you lose at the PWT.

Also shards are fairly common using the Dream Radar if you have access to that.

Oh my god. The music in the Regional Leaders modes in the PWT is amazing, they remixed gym leader music.
The Kanto Leaders have remixed GameBoy music and it is beautiful, it makes me nostalgia.

Book 1 can be hard to get through at points because there are just so many episodes that just feel like a waste of time. Just like the first 4 episodes or so of Book 2, until Toph shows up. But a lot of that is just because you know how phenomenal the show will get and filler episodes just stand out...

I got White 2 because my I traded my Reshiram to someone and then they lost the game cartridge.

And I didn't know that Challenge mode was exclusive to Black 2.

But Book 1 wasn't bad.

I thought the story was plenty good.
