Upon looking up some of the new mechanics in B/W, I notice Encore is stopped by the mental herb item. Wobbuffet and Erufuun/whateveritsenglishnameis are no longer that much of a threat!

The Thresher Maw? That thing is only hard on high difficulties. Even then you just have to make sure it isn't close enough to one hit melee you (which is hard to tell since there's a bug where you can't rightfully judge how close it is). Just cruise in a large circle and shoot it whenever you can. ...
