Basically, I went into battle with reshi as normal, and not able to catch it, KO'ed it. No exp, and then it said it wants to be caught. I could battle again at that point.
And you only get those new boxes after the credits.

So the "no balls" method doesn't work. So I guess I'll start breeding a few hundred pokemon. Only 5 boxes or so. Shouldn't be that hard.

Thing is, you can't just "ditch" a masterball. If I can find tornadus before this then all's good, but otherwise there's nothing I can do. Also, just what exactly happens when you don't catch it?
