Re: D&D: Dungeons and Deathtraps
Your bolts do nothing to the slime. It starts heading towards the current fires past the sand line, slowly leaving a trail of sand behind it, and gaining speed. Krom is off in the distance, you can't really shout to him from here, but he has the mules. Buildings on the west and south sides burst int...

Re: D&D: Dungeons and Deathtraps
The slime is possibly stuck forever at this point, only to come out if it gets helped. And I don't know anyone who would purposely help it out. Which actually brings me to what happens now. You fail your spot checks, so you don't see the demonic fruit cart coming. Luckily you are not in the way, the...

Re: D&D: Dungeons and Deathtraps
Actually, come to think of it, doesn't STR and power attack bonus work different for light weapons? Regardless, I think even if I changed the damage from the first attack you did and this one to fit, it would still exceed 15 hp. So I'll ignore the rules for now. You stab the knife through his heart ...

Re: D&D: Dungeons and Deathtraps
Well, it's a d6 knife. Let's see how boned you are/aren't. HEART OF THE DICE! 5! A total of 14 damage, but he still stands. He's stunned for a second, and realizes he's still not dead yet even after that crushing blow. It's all riding on this one last hit! (8+2) And you manage to do- wait. Rage lowe...

Re: D&D: Dungeons and Deathtraps
One of them failed to make their counter-roll against that, and jumps out the burning window. But being an elf, he just can't muster the strength to bust through completely, and is killed by the shards mid-window. His corpse now hangs there, telling the other that escape is impossible, now is the ti...

Re: D&D: Dungeons and Deathtraps
You start the sand cannon, hitting the slime with a big stream of sand. It soon gets completely covered. Any particular place you want to fire at next? Oh, and the tower has sunk a little after firing. You guys down below, Shinsa's aiming skills prevented him from accidentally burying you. Now the s...

Re: D&D: Dungeons and Deathtraps
Blanche, you successfully throw the oil into the slime. What exactly does this accomplish? It is already on fire. Or am I missing something? Krom you open the door to see that not only are your mules still safe from the fire, but also that the muggers have yet to mug them. Your mules are backed into...

Re: D&D: Dungeons and Deathtraps
It's Huge in size, so it can be a good target. As for the chase, they're a few feet too far to roast marshmallows, but it is slowly catching up. And is the slime hurt by the fire? Well, it's leaving a trail of fire behind it, but you don't really know much about slime anatomy or if that's normal.

Re: D&D: Dungeons and Deathtraps
Having expected you to jump over it, the cart raises it hurdle bar as you sidestep it. It shall not feast tonight. You take a blood orange, which is the most demonic sounding fruit I could think of. The stables doors await, the roof burning already. I can't make my player's characters cry, it's my j...

Re: D&D: Dungeons and Deathtraps
I'm guessing you do that as a charge attack so you don't stop running. Because glass on TV is just sugarglass, this is actually hard stuff you're hitting, but you just manage to break through it, sending a cascade of shards down on you. Unfortunately, your reflex save means you don't get your feet c...

Re: D&D: Dungeons and Deathtraps
Blanche: Nah, church is cool and all, you can follow after them. It'll be a few rounds until you catch up to the slime battle. Shinsa: You stow the books away and follow him. It's gonna be a few rounds before anything interesting happens with you. Ayalea: It's my job to make you feel bad, silly~. Bu...

Re: D&D: Dungeons and Deathtraps
You manage to find Adventures of the Desert, Desertion: a how-to guide, and Sands of Time. "Ah, yes, it's definitely one of these." He judges the books for a moment, studying their covers. He takes one. "Yes, Desertion was the one. Let's see, how to make more sand..." He starts writing on a scroll, ...

Re: D&D: Dungeons and Deathtraps
Darn, I forgot you even had that. Time until you reach the Inn is now 4 rounds instead of 8. As you are running by, you see a giant burning black slime about to attack a group of children who can't outrun it. "Wait, that gives me an idea. Come with me." He leads you down to the library, "I had a boo...

Re: D&D: Dungeons and Deathtraps
An excellent choice, the head-beard is there. You explain to him you need magic to water the flames away. "Yeah, see, there's one problem... We recently had a gas leak, and if any of that mixed into the water here, we could easily be poisoning the town. We haven't actually tested it, but all our lab...
