A tragic love story if I've ever seen one.

Re: The Cockfighting Society thread

The hardest part of pokedex filling isn't catching, or breeding, etc. It's knowing that the new game is out soon and you'll just be transferring everything over there, and then you'll have to breed all your fully evolved pokemon again to get the pre-evos in the dex again.

Re: The Cockfighting Society thread

Stop defending stealth rock by generalizing our attack against all EHs, it's only stealth rock. Every daisies time you try to defend stealth rock you state something about EHs in general. It's only stealth rock. You aren't fooling anyone. Oh, and flying/levitaters CAN be hit by spikes, a move called...

Re: Western Cartoons/Comics

Okay so I'm looking up a lot more stuff about green lantern and You'd think having a fly with a ring was too much You'd think having a planet with a ring was too much But no. No no no no no. You want too much? They have a mathematical equation with a ring. And it can erase people's minds. That is no...

Re: TOONAMI IS BACK BITCHES

Rainbows fucking everywhere man. Even the crater was rainbow. Oh, and did you see that one PANK skyfish in the group of green skyfish? It was cute. Because it was PANK. Let's see, Bleach still sucked because filler arc is over and we're back to tite kubo writing. God why is Ringo so adorable. And wh...

Re: The Cockfighting Society thread

It's a bad counter because you had to switch your spinner out into rocks in the first place, the pokemon that learn rapid spin generally aren't that strong and will get killed/set up upon while they spin, and it doesn't prevent new rocks from going down. And nobody uses other EHs because of the ease...

Re: The Cockfighting Society thread

I mentioned Rapid Spin because Guyperson said there were no counters to Stealth Rock. Not no counters, no good counters. Any game without luck in some way is flawed. Do you know what your foe is going to do next, 100% certain? No. They send out gyarados to bait a thunderbolt then switch to electivi...

Re: The Cockfighting Society thread

Double team takes up a move slot, and during the turn you use it once, your opponent gets in an actual move. You aren't attacking, you aren't healing, you aren't using thunder wave, etc. It's like swords dance but it doesn't end up in your favor as much. One evasion boost doesn't lower hit chance th...

Re: The Cockfighting Society thread

But double team isn't luck based, every use is guaranteed to increase evasion one stage, the same way SR takes half of a volcarona's hp guaranteed, or a quarter of gyrados's. And your inclusion of OHKO moves at the end with no backdrop for it is just silly. OHKO are horribly inaccurate, not subject ...

Re: The Cockfighting Society thread

If by complexity and depth you mean everyone uses it with no good counter and half of the types become useless because of it, then yeah. If the only hazards were spikes/toxic spikes no one would care about hazards anymore, and they wouldn't be so broken. It's stealth rock that made things bad. Guara...

Re: The Cockfighting Society thread

Now, here's my question. Smogon hates things that shape the metagame so extremely, things that are brokenly powerful, why do they allow Stealth Rock? I mean, they already "ban" pokemon they deem too strong (and then when the pokemon oppressed by that pokemon gain enough freedom to be strong they ban...

Re: The Cockfighting Society thread

So now Blaziken can learn a dragon type attack to go with its fire STAB for full coverage, which is also a multi-hit move to break focus sashes, doesn't require ludicrous breeding for moves so even a casual player can get it done right, is cool enough that people have been using it before it was bro...

Re: The Cockfighting Society thread

Alright, I haven't Cockfighting Society'd in forever. All I know is that B2/W2 is coming out in October. Is there anything new or interesting I should be aware of? All the old move tutors and some of the TMs are back. READY FOR RAWKS TO BE EVEN MORE CENTRALIZED?! I don't see how rocks can be more c...
