Just a note, I didn't swallow the earwig, I spat him and the water out onto the floor. He lived to see another day, if mentally scarred.

Once, when I was sleeping, I had a glass of water next to my bed. Sometimes after turning off the lights, I lean over, grab the glass, and take a swallow. Turns out there was an earwig in the water.
