Re: Tech help general

Individual parts usually have warranties. If you do ruin anything, it will probably be the motherboard; they near-universally have warranties. Also are you sure you don't/won't pay taxes? I don't know where you live, but in America I thought you start paying income taxes as soon as you get a job. w...

Re: Tech help general

It will do video editing smoothly, and video editing is sort of the most power-intensive thing you can do on a computer short of even more extreme video editing, I guess But you really don't need anything that powerful, dude. of course I don't, but I would love the luxery of having a computer with ...

Re: Tech help general

You're going to pay for an upgrade no matter what you buy. Once DirectX 12 and then 13 come around, or any new technology, your silly old DirectX 11 cards will be obsolete and some games will look less than ideal with them. It's nice to have power but technology doesn't just evolve by increasing th...

Re: Tech help general

It's not a gamble if you make sure that all the parts are compatible with each other, and you're considering incredibly overkill stuff, you really need to do some research about what's needed for modern games because you're not going to need two high-end video cards to play a game that's coming out...

Re: Tech help general

oh. well I dunno, I'd rather spend the cheddar on something that is guaranteed to be top of the end stuff than take a gamble and build my own looking at this at the moment. If I were to get a job at 6.90 an hour, work 20 hours a week 4 weeks a month I could save up for this within three months. that...

Re: Tech help general

lol ycobb, it's nice of you but you shouldn't bother picking out parts for him, he doesn't even want to accept the fact that building a pc is easy as hell. I'm pretty sure he's talking about buying the parts FOR the computer, not building one from scratch. besides, I think building computers is a l...
