For me it's a tie between TTGL and Fullmetal Alchemist.

TTGL because it is just so goddamn entertaining and fun, and it makes your brain twist into crazy shapes. FMA because of the wonderful story and characterization and it adds a bit of analysis into human psyche and discussion of ethics.

To be honest, I only read the manga. And immediately after I finished it I forgot almost everything that happened.

Never touched the show. I was meaning to, but Death Note and I apparently don't get along that well.
