I should say, for cases like this, you should watch the anime first, appreciate it for what it is, and then read the manga for the "real" story.
It's easier to like without bias this way, or that's how I'd see it.
It's like Fullmetal Alchemist and Hellsing: author makes insanely good manga, anime studio approaches it early on wanting a series, author says "OK" but wants them to write a different ending, anime finishes with sub-par resolution, manga fandom hates anime forever, then same studio eventually re-do...
And that's also something I'm worried about. I feel like being eccentric, but not to the point where people avoid me and think "Oh god not one of those people"
Granted, I do have a lot of weeaboo traits, but I don't want people getting the wrong first impression.
I'm thinking about making bento box lunches when I go to school. Watching videos of them all last night/this morning made me intrigued. I found a website with recipes and everything.
