At this point in the game we might have to randomly lynch someone, as per usual...

Re: All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for

Maybe it's because the 'right' way of typing annoys the heck out of me and I never used it outside of being required to in third grade computer class (Mavis Beacon, anyone?), I don't use my pinkies to type. My hand drifts over the whole keyboard and I type with my thumbs and the first two fingers on...

Re: Things that piss you off

I asked my mom how things were between her and dad this morning before she left for work.
She shrugged and said 'We'll manage'
which means that Dad's still super rustled and is giving her the cold shoulder, like he always does.

I wish I could beat him over the head with his own temper.

Re: Things that piss you off

My dad is an angry, self-centered, over-reactive, overly sensitive control freak. Her and my mom had a falling out tonight--he came to say goodnight to me without her, which automatically raised a warning flag for me. When I asked him what happened, he growled something about being locked in the gar...

Re: The Legend of Korra, because it deserves its own thread

Being a villain does not automatically make a character intelligent, refined, or cool. Bowser is an excellent villain but I would hardly consider him refined. He might not even be that intelligent. And I would say Fire Lord Ozai planning to eradicate the earth kingdom on the day of the comet was les...

Re: Ad Eternum: Aftershock

"Hm?" Galiena looked at the dark-skinned man, blinking. "...Jade?" Her mouth curled into a slightly more genuine half-smile. "Haven't seen you around lately. How's life? Anything earth-shaking happening lately?" Without waiting for an answer, she turned back to Zephiur and laid down her first card. ...

Re: Ad Eternum: Aftershock

Galiena continued to watch the match until the winner was decided. Once the winner had gathered his cheddar and the loser had stomped away towards the slots, Galiena started shuffling the deck again. "Have a seat," she said. "You'll play me this time. I'm dealer this round." She dealt the cards and ...

Re: Ad Eternum: Aftershock

Galiena shook her head. "I don't mind at all. Plenty of people like to watch." She pointed at the player who had forgotten to count his pair. "Drop the argument. Your unclaimed points go to your opponent." The man grumbled but sat back, waiting as the other man counted out his hand and pegged his po...

Re: Ad Eternum: Aftershock

Galiena shuffled the deck, water-falling the cards between her hands and handing the deck to the player meant to be the dealer this round. The cribbage tournament she was running was winding down after several matches had ended fairly fast--three 'skunks', where a player's game peg was still a large...
