Re: Funny Picture Thread
many creationists, including myself goodbye, respect there it goes, floating on the wind Hey you know what I respect everyone else's personal beliefs and opinions. And I don't try to force my religion on others. So don't you start. (besides the term 'creationism' is very much a gray area. I do not,...

Re: Funny Picture Thread
I'm going to jump on the religious bandwagon (?) for a moment and point out that many creationists, including myself, do not believe that God made the earth in 7 earth days. I view it more as a metaphor, or that each 'day' took place over many, many years. There are some 'young earth' creationists w...

Re: Things that make you sad.
When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I was out under. The nurse put an iv in my arm, which feels basically like a shot, and they gave me a mask over my nose and mouth. I remember being awake for a while, but then I just dropped off. I didn't even feel myself getting sleepy; next thing I knew I was wa...

The US is kind of like one of those wacky celebrities that are always caught with their pants down in the tabloids. Both the fans and the haters like to see what sort of hijinks those Americans are getting up to now, amirite?

Yep.
There was a different mockup for the Gold and Silver remakes that looked a lot better--like, Ho-oh and Lugia were in silhouettes against the background and it looked all neat and holographic.

My parents and I were watching the vice-presidential debate and dad was getting very pissy about Biden interrupting Ryan.
After the debate was over I casually mentioned that Ryan interrupted Biden too.
Dad yelled at me to 'shut up' and that I didn't know what I was talking about.

It's a minor peeve but I get annoyed when I hear women complaining about Jack dying at the end of Titanic. I could spew the maths about buoyancy at them but the fact is that's how the story is meant to go. Jack dies. You don't see me getting upset that Bruce Willis doesn't marry Toni Collette and b...

My old laptop's name was 'Stupid Thing'.
"Come on, work you stupid thing!"
My new laptop doesn't have a name but now I want to give it one.
