If anything, you'd have a better understanding than any of the rest of us. I do understand it better than the rest of you. That's why I'm absolutely disgusted by you and Deiphobus for saying that rapists should be sympathized with. That's like sympathizing with Hannibal Lector if he was a real pers...

Yea, I definitely see what you mean there.... hmmm.... now I have to think of something that involves a long adventure with varying landscapes but still allows much excitement with an in depth plot line that still seems somewhat magical, but not to the extent that the story revolves around magic......

You know what pisses me off about RUCKY Day? You know what really makes me tick? Well, let me put it like this. I thought this year would be different. After all, I can't possibly get my hopes up this year, right? I can't possibly have any kind of high expectations, right? There's no way I can sink...

Wait wait wait WAIT I figured it out. Whatever is right or wrong, in terms of ethics, is entirely up to you . What I mean is, Mander thought what that guy said was ethically wrong. Pretty much all of us here who read his post also thought it was ethically wrong. Therefore , since we all believe it ...

Zink wrote:The way I see, something is unethical if people think it's unethical.
This statement is completely correct. However, why is one persons thoughts on ethics more, or less important than anothers?

(sorry about all the post spamming I'm doing here, but it's just easier to address people's posts."

The thing of it is, if anything is alright just because you can't " prove " it's unethical, then people get the notion that they're allowed to do anything just because nobody will tell them it's not OK. You misunderstand. I didn't say it's alright because there's no lack of proof to the contrary, e...

Unwanted pregnancies, injury, mental scarring, sometimes underage (or deflowering virgins). I'm pretty sure those make it pretty bad. I've yet to see an ethicist agree with that guy. Though to be honest if I did I'd still disagree with them. I agree with you, those do make it pretty bad, but that s...

Tall-Hatted Yanimae wrote:Still, what he said shows a complete lack of understanding to how bad rape can be. It's like if a woman doesn't think being kick in the nuts would hurt that much.
I'm just using what he said as an example. It's unethical, yes, but why?

I know there is some reasoning behind why it could be justified (whether it be morally wrong or not) or else he wouldn't think it is. I'll admit, justification doesn't make it the right or good thing to do. It just means there is a reason behind it. I can't tell if that's what you mean. Justificati...

I don't think prejudice and altered views can create the basis for the validity of rape. While it's true he may think there's nothing wrong with what he thinks, rape is a very serious thing. The bottom line to me is that rape hurts the woman, both physically and emotionally. No matter what you thin...

I'm also not seeing how right and wrong don't exist. Even in the darkest of ages, there was just some shit you just weren't supposed to do. Yes, but why? Why are my ethical views more important, more correct, or more relevant than anybody else's, i.e. the fellow that said a man raping a woman is ac...

It's not that, its just. I don't even see how that makes sense. What you said about people standing by a fight or beating and not doing anything, I understand that because I've seen that happen. Though, I know I'd do something with certainty because in the past I have stepped in. Okay, that's past ...
