Re: The Current Events Thread

I meant the tires. You would need grenade proof tires then to have a chance. At which point the army would probably just shoot the vehicle with 20mm HE-AP run flats would be ok in most grenade situations, just ask crews of the US Stryker vehicles. I read the specs of the armor and the local enforce...

Re: The Current Events Thread

I just thought I should throw this thread out there. It is pictures of weapons and equipment seized in Colombia. http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?156820-Weapons-seized-from-Drug-Cartels-by-Mexico-s-Military-amp-LE-(updates) Those gold plated and gem encrusted guns: so cool. But i...

It gets worse the further in you browse. And I probably should warn you. About 60 or so pages in, there are uncensored pictures of bodies. Just so you guys know. Also, the all new Zeta model! Featuring bullet proofing and a gun turret! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-I3p0Az0APVs/TciKOwfJ8-I/AAAAAAAAE9I/Y...

Well everything imagined in the human mind references something observed by that person. So technically, all your thoughts are unoriginal.

Re: The Current Events Thread

Sometimes I wonder whether or not Mexico would be open to the US Military going in and wiping out the cartels. They're right on our border and frequently cross into the US with horrific effects, so there's just cause to stamping them out. Hell just recently a man was fleeing two hitmen from the car...

Re: Taboo Topics (Heavily moderated)

Well that explains your attitude toward religion.

Lucky for me I had an episcopal pastor who didn't play by the rules.

i believe that is the argument that one side is taking?
What would a kid listen to more, mommy or the angry hand of god? Though I suppose god takes on a boogey man effect in that case.

Re: Taboo Topics (Heavily moderated)

But church isn't the only way to teach morals. In fact I think there are better ways than the way churches teach it. Say like, teach kids to be a good person simply to be a good person and because it is the right thing to do, not because you'll be supernaturally rewarded. I still don't see why it's...

Re: Taboo Topics (Heavily moderated)

I'm really not okay with putting kids to church from a very young age to try and make them christian. Religion should be an adult person's own choice, not something you believe in because it was forced on you when you were so young you absorbed information like a sponge. You get a choice, it's call...
