What would happen if I were too wipe my laptop's hard drive? It would erase everything on it even the OS if I'm correct. If you are going to wipe it have a cd with Windows or Linux with you. you should be able to make an OS restore disk if you have a blank CD and a dvd drive that can write to a disk.
