Re: Taboo Topics (Heavily moderated)

It's still a mind altering drug. It gets you drowsy and significantly less serious than normal. It's not as detrimental as alcohol, but still. There's also the lack of hard, scientific documentation on what it does. I mean yeah, everyone and their brother knows what it does, but if research can stil...

Re: All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for

Squeezing in here just a tad too late to put out my two cents that I'm with Vax on this. If something makes someone pop flyin', and they're not hurting anyone else, it's not our business to take that away from them.

Re: Things that piss you off

Soooooooo I go to do my online Bio quiz in peace after getting back from class. We had an exam today, so I was more furiously studying than doing the quiz. I go to do the quiz, and I can't find it. I check the announcements and it turns out it was due "at the start of the exam". Well fuck you to Uni...

Re: The Halo Section

Yes, just like I'm allowed to point out the flaws in your criticisms. 343 needed to sell the game to more than just the handful of us. I'm sure SOMEBODY absolutely loves the VCR helmet. It's highly doubtful, but if he does exist, then he is SUPER excited to be able to get his VCR helmet, and who are...

Re: The Halo Section

Yes, art is subjective. You would rather have a concentrated amount of helmets you find badass, until someone comes by and says "Those all look stupid as hell". There being a lot of helmets allows for the greatest amount of people to be compensated, and honestly there's no reason to hold that agains...

Re: The Halo Section

Oh my God, I freaking LOVE exile. I walk in with a quota of 5 turret kills and I leave with 17-18 (one didn't count because it was the tank). The Gauss turret is a freaken BEAST. NONE SHALL TRIFLE WITH ME WHILE I WIELD IT!! And about the fact that current-gen graphics can let developers do more thin...

Re: All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for

Yeah, I figured out it was some artsy fartsy thing when it asked me to "describe" something by clicking on an image. My roommate and I had a blast just randomly clicking shit.

"Mother?"
"CRAB! CRAB! DO THE CRAB!"

Well there we go.

I guess that's what I get for just playing campaign on Halo 3 and not doing anything else.

Re: All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for

I inadvertently play the Wikipedia Hitler game A LOT. I'm looking up the Gettysburg address? Apparently it's only 4-5 steps away from the Holocaust.

Re: The Halo Section

Then at this point you're more arguing against the evolution of video game graphics. Back then, they had to be more simplistic. Now that they can do more, they do more, and a lot of people seem to like it so they're probably going to stick with it. I'll agree that a lot of the helmets look like some...

Yeah, I know what an ampersand is, I'm just wondering why it looks like it just got done with hipster school and is now trying new forms out to be "hip", or whatever the hell it is hipster kids try to be these days...

Re: The Halo Section

Oh OK, I didn't see the "not" in that sentence. Either way if it's just the art, then there's not too much that can be done about it. As gamers, we're supposed to have this creed where the graphics of a game don't determine the quality of it (even though it does) and art is up to the discretion of t...

Re: The Halo Section

Spartan's are genetically engineered for their suits, so liberties with proportions are easily explainable. In what way would the suits never see deployment? The physical "visor" could very well just be something to give the Spartans a more humanistic look, In reality it could be that the helmet col...
