Re: Taboo Topics (Heavily moderated)
Well it's traditionally how it's "supposed" to work though you can end up going to a psychiatrist through court mandating, via doctor's orders ,or from just going from free will. And clinical psychologists are just psychologists, as in the guys who sit in a chair and ask "and how does that make you ...

Re: Taboo Topics (Heavily moderated)
Psychietry is also a different bit than psychology. People go to a psychologist because there's something not quite right, and are then referred to psychiatrists if it turns out that something is serious. People just need to learn that psychologists are simply individuals with a little more knowledg...

Brutal honesty becomes a negative trait when all it does is reveal more negative traits.

While true, brutal honesty is best when coupled with at least one other positive trait, though.
It sounds like that honesty is the only thing she has going for her.

Re: Taboo Topics (Heavily moderated)
Clinical psychologists are also a bit more mindful than that. They're trained where "no problem" isn't the answer (otherwise they wouldn't be there) and keeping the diagnoses from being the identifying, crippling thing. If someone is just slightly sad, then it's neither that they "have no problem" n...

Re: Taboo Topics (Heavily moderated)
I have to agree with riku. If they're really saying that their psychological problems would drive someone specifically trained to deal with psychological problems "insane", then it sounds more like they don't really want to be helped with their issues. Especially when that psychological problem is "...

Re: Mafia Gear Solid - DAY 3
I'm gonna have to agree. While I dislike the idea of voting for someone just because the day is coming to an end, and it's unlikely to get a better candidate on the lock by the end of it, this situation is a bit different compared to dzelda's. Dzelda was a little too pop flyin' to get lynched so we ...

Re: Mafia Gear Solid - DAY 3
As long as you use sound logic that most people agree on, there shouldn't be an issue with that.

Re: Mafia Gear Solid - DAY 3
I'm holding my lynch as well. Everything he's done is consistent with dzelda's actions yesterday, which should mean he's town, but because what happened yesterday did happen, it could mean he's mafia looking to just play off of that card. Either way, I don't really feel comfortable voting either way...

Then I'd either drop the class, or give him a shitty review at the end. After that, talk with the dean of his department. I'm sure if enough people complain to enough sources, someone will tell him to get his head out of his booty.

Re: Study Buddies (AKA NOW LET US ALL NOT FAIL CLASSES AND S
Is this high school or university? Actually, it doesn't matter, failing grades look just as bad on a professor as they do the class either way. I never could understand this pride some professors have in being "difficult". If THAT MANY students fail your exams, you're either a shitty teacher, or you...
