Lately I've been getting angry with being strung along by various companies announcements for their games, shows, movies, etc. Things like 10 second teasers of movie trailers, announcements of when trailers are to be released, and even announcements of the days that they're going to announce things....

Evidence does point towards that. I mean, there are Secret Wars T-shirts that drop them from the cover. And that's just one instance. Here are a couple others, where people weren't allowed to put them in officially licensed games or officially licensed merch like posters.
