The main reason that's never going to happen is because, as a general rule, it's not a good idea to make a comic expressing your disdain for your own fans!

By "high standard of art" you mean "overdone photoshop coloring" right? There are plenty of great comics that are drawn with simple colors, or aren't even colored, or aren't even inked, or are just stickfigures, and these comics can succeed because they're well written and actually update on time. ...
