I Am Legend had two endings, though.

The movie will be set a year before WoW, and revolve around the Alliance. They decided that last part so new-comers will be able to relate better to the world.

That's also what I mean; Blizzard is working very closely with the film. They've also said that if the movie were made and they didn't like it, they're not scared to scrap it. They've scrapped projects they don't like in the past, and I'm sure they won't stop now.
