Re: The Mario (and sometimes Green 'Stache) Thread
The fifth Gen was the first set of consoles to come out during my lifetime, but the first console I actually owned was the Gamecube towards the end of its life (I got the Pokemon XD special edition one in 2005). I mean, I had the GBC and GBA SP before then, but those were handhelds.

Re: The Mario (and sometimes Green 'Stache) Thread
Nintendo actually put the analog stick in the center because they felt that other developers would be uncomfortable with the new control scheme, so the d-pad was set to the left side.

How well the upscaling looks depends on the game in a lot of cases.
Goldeneye looks like shit (especially in the cutscenes), but Skyward Sword and Galaxy look breathtaking.

Woo, time to play a version of Super Mario World that isn't all squished like the Mario Advance series or on an emulator!

Re: General Game Gabbin'
Extra Credits did a video which perfectly sums up my feelings towards "graphical capabilities": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oK8UTRgvJU This is the reason why I believe that Wind Waker and Super Mario Galaxy are nicer-looking games than nearly 90% of the games for the PS3 or 360, despite only run...

Re: General Game Gabbin'
Sometimes I look at the people complaining about how you can re-buy Virtual Console games for the Wii U at a discount if you own them for a Wii and I wonder if they even read what was being said.
