Nah, you're normal. It's more common to hate winter/snow. It does have a lot cons, but some of us just can't resist that image of an entire world covered in white.

I love winter, but I'm willing to admit I might love winter a lot less when I finally get my license and have to experience driving through snow and ice.

I think it's a stretch to say the expressions are B^U.
Compare the two characters when they look to the side and raise one eyebrow.
Only the eyes look overly similar to me. The rest of the features look different for each expression.
