Re: What makes you pop flyin'?

A detective, I'm told, found my laptop that'd been stolen a few weeks ago. Neat.

Re: Adventures in the Workplace

First solo build happened, and I was right. I didn't know exactly what would screw me over but I was certain that some task or other would be beyond my first time capabilities. It was a simple design for a small countertop, I took it slow, and it still only needed about two minutes worth of overwork...

Re: The Current Events Thread

Grand jury reported no evidence to discredit Wilson's claim of having to defend himself, and Department of Justice Secretary Eric Holder said the "Hands up, don't shoot" version most likely didn't happen. I'm having to post from my phone since my laptops was stolen yesterday so I can't include links...

Re: The Current Events Thread

If I recall correctly, the first time Sanders got interrupted by "Black Lives Matter" he tried to respond with evil common sense like "All lives matter" and was subsequently booed, then later apologized for his wicked statements. Meanwhile cops in Ferguson are still getting shot at during protests l...

Re: The Current Events Thread

I don't think anyone is saying what he did was not very wrong and completely unethical. Like I said, it was a cheap shot. but when I read about him smiling as the verdict is read and thanking his lawyers... To be fair I think everybody would be thankful to the people who effectively save your life ...

Re: The Current Events Thread

I've been told death penalties are unethical (Because mass murder isn't? Cheap shot, I know). Been told he wouldn't have a great life in prison, wouldn't last ten years, etc. All I can think is that whatever form of existence he'll have from now on is still more than twelve people will get because o...

Re: The Current Events Thread

So apparently the jury decided to allow Colorado taxpayers to provide James Holmes with food and housing for the rest of his natural life in return for him murdering twelve people in the Aurora theater's Dark Knight Rises shooting three years ago. Can't say I'm pop flyin' about that choice.

Re: The Legend of Korra -Get your booties in here to talk S4

"Thank goodness, Korra can use ice to temporarily stop the mech's hand from crushing us all, buying us enough time to get out of the way!" ...WHY DIDN'T YOU DO THAT WHEN IT WAS SWATTING ASAMI'S DAD?! "Eh, reasons. Probably had some dust in her eye or something." "Oh dear, I seem to have several Ava...

Re: The Legend of Korra -Get your booties in here to talk S4

I called it quits after season 2 because it was pretty awful, heard 3 and 4 were supposed to be better. Zahir was an okay antagonist, would've been better if he weren't so shallow, but am I the only person who absolutely hates the writing in season 4? It's just all sorts of lazy and the further I ge...

Re: General Game Gabbin'

Bossing is kinda fun there, particularly since they cleaned up the response times for movement and ability usage a bit. Queen Black Dragon runs made me pretty much all of my cheddar - got that one almost down to a science, best time is around 1:35 off-task - God Wars Dungeon bosses are fun to goof a...

Re: General Game Gabbin'

Wow. That is a lot more dedication than I can claim. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y214/Patman235/skills_zps38smripb.png It was nice realizing that getting everything maxed really didn't matter much to me, and getting to the "major milestones" instead is significantly easier. At the moment the on...

Re: Funny Picture Thread

Jagex has actually been putting effort into making Runescape not-awful. And people are still going "But I remember playing when it was more awful than this I hate change" and other shenanigans.

Re: Anime & Manga

This week in One Piece:

La la la, not much happening. Kinda weird stuff that doesn't make sense, vague after-battle wrap-ups, random shit SUDDENLY MOTHERFUCKING KAIDO.

Way to throw that in out of nowhere, Oda.

Re: The Current Events Thread

Gilbert Arenas is banned from basketball again. Thankfully, there were no guns involved this time — unless you count the muscles he used to tote around a bunch of stuffed animals. The former NBA player took his family to the Orange County Fair and started shooting lights out (still, no guns) on the...

Re: Adventures in the Workplace

New work is still jam packed full of enough things I don't know to consistently make me feel like an idiot and the rest of the crew is still totally friendly and polite enough to not say anything about it unless it involves a minor part of job completion. Then there's a fair amount of sarcasm thrown...
