A good size for photographs is 800x600, but that is simply a guideline and won't be strictly enforced - as long as you don't break the frames you'll be fine.

Well it could've been very easily cropped to a smaller size since it's just one facebook post
"Breaking the frames" is not a very good measurement though because that depends entirely on your resolution so if you're an HD monitor user, pics need to be almost twice as wide as specified in the rules to start breaking frames because the rules have been made with laptop users in mind who start seeing broken frames at 900px+ or so.
