Re: Unsounded
The smuggled silver seems to be forcing its aspects onto the host. Makes me wonder why. Was it enchanted specifically to have that effect, or is it something like melted down first silver that never had its enchantments removed?

Re: Unsounded
I think it's the other way around. Elka mentions that the Red Berry Boys are smuggling "agony-infused" silver, suggesting that stuffing it into people's bodies and absorbing pain is part of the process that Delicieu is selling.
As for what's happening to the people, the silver is obviously causing some sort of discharge, magical or otherwise. I think it's likely that it's appearing more rapidly on the children because their bodies are smaller and less durable.

I caught up in one day. And now I'm sad. Because it's an awesome series so far, and I want MORE.

Re: Unsounded
Several series like that. Gunnerkrigg, Lackadaisy Cats, Dresden Codak. Stop doing other stuff and just draw!! Somebody hook up IV nutrition to them.
So the process of transporting the silver is also a way to arm it. Hate to see what they make of it. Weapons that inflict agony with the slightest wound?

I felt the same way when I first read it. The good news is that it updates three times a week, and sometimes he posts two pages instead of one.ShadowDragoonFTW wrote:I caught up in one day. And now I'm sad. Because it's an awesome series so far, and I want MORE.
That's what I'm thinking. Though Elka (or Toma) also said that Delicieu was selling weapons research, which means that whatever it does isn't exactly common. Toma did say that he had no idea what the silver could be used for, so it's hard to tell.Omnithea wrote:So the process of transporting the silver is also a way to arm it. Re: Unsounded
I just want to know how the hell s/he can post so many pages so frequently when they're as freaking detailed as they are. I mean, christ, most comic artists with even simpler animation styles have trouble doing TWO a week and having any free time left over...
On the point of the silver, is it possible that that particular kid was just having an allergic reaction to it, or something of the sort? I didn't notice any of the other slaves having the same reaction.

daisies, Ephsephin. You're one tough sumbitch.
Unfortunately, the most merciful thing Starfish can do right now is give you a quicker death, because I seriously doubt he's going to spring for a doctor.

Even so, to constantly update they probably need to constantly be refreshing their backlog. Unless there's going to eventually be a month break to catch up or something.Clyve wrote:They probably have a backlog. Most good webcomic artists do and it makes all the difference in the world.
Katie has one; she updates on time without fail.
Ramsoomair doesn't have one; when was the last time that guy updated on schedule?
Also, I thought Scott worked on the Valve schedule of updating.

Don't forget releasing bonus shit based on your past releases (t-shirts in Scott's case) and making cheddar off of that.

Cope does take month long breaks at predetermined places in the story.

Re: Unsounded
Oh, that makes a lot of sense. I've just now seen the comic for the first time, so I didn't know.
Understandable, but still a hell of a wait. Must make you antsy as hell.
