Re: Fallout General: The war has changed
Funny story about that armor in Lonesome Road: I never got it. I basically put my little warhead detonator away after the first few times I had to use it, and I barely explored because I was SO AFRAID of everything. I found out about it later. It was a horrible feeling, especially since I was using some real shitty armor near the end (I kept throwing all my good stuff away and my Vet armor was just about broken).Reyo wrote:Armor issues: Lonesome Road DLC has the best NCR ranger gear that also doesn't make you seem like NCR to everyone who would otherwise shoot NCR, but not you.
Weapon issues: The best weapon I've ever given anybody was Oh Baby! to Victoria because I'm not a melee guy, and I intended to keep her around for a bit anyway. Not even Boone got anything better than a hunting rifle (MAYBE with a scope attachment...MAYBE)
Also: Don't kill Benny right off. If you want revenge...like...true revenge...just don't. It'd also be in your best interest not to clear out the legion cove on the southeastern end of the map.
Black Widow is the best way to kill Benny.

Re: Fallout General: The war has changed
You can go back to get it. I had to. I read up on it to see what the hell "sneak sight" meant and noticed it in the section where they compared all of the NCR combat armors and thought "SON OF A BITCH!" because I'd long since done lonesome road by the time I did.
Also, for me, Benny's still tied up at the Legion camp, Caesar's booty precariously placed in full view. He gets to starve looking at old man booty as a reminder that he shouldn't have fucked with me...unless he manages to get out. That's entirely on him though. Then again, given his personality, he probably couldn't MacGruber his way out of a paper sack...made of air.

Playing through Dead cheddar again, and boy do I love having 100 points in guns and 10 luck! I can turn a small .357 into a long-range decapitation machine.

The Mojave seems bland after playing most of these DLCs. I'm about to walk the Lonesome Road.

I don't have the DLC until I get a hard-drive which won't be until Christmas most like.Reyo wrote:Armor issues: Lonesome Road DLC has the best NCR ranger gear that also doesn't make you seem like NCR to everyone who would otherwise shoot NCR, but not you.

Also you assume I'm ever going to be on good terms with the Legion. After the shit they pulled in Nipton I'm aiming to wipe them out. The Mojave doesn't need assholes like that.
Stuff goes here later.

I will need many Stealth Boys and maxed Gun/Sneak skill. Possibly Boone too.electronic goat wrote:butMadican wrote:I don't have the DLC until I get a hard-drive which won't be until Christmas most like.Reyo wrote:Armor issues: Lonesome Road DLC has the best NCR ranger gear that also doesn't make you seem like NCR to everyone who would otherwise shoot NCR, but not you.

Re: Fallout General: The war has changed
Yeah I like'em well enough.
I mean they leave to find prosperous lands right? It's not like the NCR needs their support, I am the Fallout guy.

Re: Fallout General: The war has changed
They key is patience. When you leave the Tops casino, you'll be approached by the same guy you met in Nipton, and he'll inform you that Caesar wants to meet you. What you do is hold back the urge to reverse pickpocket a grenade in his trousers, and take him up on his offer...for now. When you've met Caesar, you entertain his pleasantries until he allows you to walk around with your gear.
That...is when you enact your revenge.
EDIT: As for Papa Khan, I just wasted the asshole.By the time I got the mission to keep him from supporting the Legion, I'd done too many peacekeeping missions to effectively give a shit.

Re: Fallout General: The war has changed
One day, you know what I'll do.
Put C4 in the outhouse where papa khan goes at about 12pm, and just blow him up while he's on the can.
Also what DLC should I get next? HH, LR, or OWB? WHICH IS NEXT IN SEQUENCE
