Re: Ctrl + V
Good evening.
My name is Jacob Conkle, I'm a recent graduate of Bowling Green State University. Last week, I met and briefly talked to a charming woman who went by the name of Sue when I was at work here in Bowling Green, Ohio. She had mentioned The Commons Eastport in passing and the fact that it was located in Maine, which is where I've worked for the past three summers of my life at Camp Laurel South. Excluding last summer, in which I was studying abroad in Japan, I've really come to appreciate Maine and it's possibilities.
The reason why I decided to email your organization (I hope this is the correct email address to use in doing so...) was mostly out of curiosity, but seeing a how I've loved working in Maine so far, I wanted to ask if your organization was open to applications or inquires into possible jobs. I was an Art/Asian Studies double major here at BGSU and I was curious to see if you were hiring and if so, what kind of jobs you were looking to fill. I've already taken an Arts Director/Leadership role at Camp Laurel South for this summer, but after camp ends, I'm not quite sure what my concrete plans are.
I've looked at most of your artists and I'm quite inspired, really. Although the Art portion of my major was somewhat broad, I've always been drawn to appreciating and utilizing both metal and wood in my own Art. I would love a chance to work with an organization that appreciates the same things I do.
Even if your organization isn't looking to hire, I thought it would be a progressive effort to contact this organization.
Regardless, I really do look forward to visiting The Commons this summer on o
