Blood Spray Paint:
Inkling paints an area blue. Comes back later to find it orange. Paints it blue. Comes back later to find it orange. Paints it blue again and leaves. Returns to find it orange again. Gets mad and paints it blue. Comes back later to find the vandal that is painting it orange. Last panel shows area is blue with blood red splatters.

War Pigments:
Alternative Delivery. Two Inklings get in a shootout. The walls switch between blue and orange as each rival brings out bigger and bigger guns. One of the Inklings brings out an oversized gun and fires it. Walls turn red.

Graph Defeaty:
We see an artist paint a canvas. The view pans away to reveal a masterpiece. We then see that the artist is an Inkling. Rival Inkling shows up and blasts the painting.

Pigment Sunken Shipment/Ink Unwell:
Blue Inklings ambush Orange Inklings, taking them down with various ink based weaponry, forcing their retreat. We see each Blue unleash a different tactic. Final Blue Inkling takes out a paintbrush and uses it like a Bowie knife to take down an enemy. Then uses a tentacle as a garrote. Follows up by trying to drown another enemy in a pool of blue ink by holding his head under.
TEAMMATE 1: "Tell her to ease up."
TEAMMATE 2: "You tell her to ease up, thank god these guns don't have bullets."

Trainer Katie enters a Sky Battle and sends out her Charizard. Charizard mega evolves into Mega Charizard X, loses flying type, and plummets out of the sky...

Bonus points if it lands on top of the opposing trainer, crushing him, causing Katie to win by default.

Or it lands on top of the opposing trainer, leaving a bloody mangled mess... Katie sneaks away quietly.

I just want to see Katie draw a really cool Mega Evolution animation (make it a gif maybe?) But I've been watching too much anime lately, so I may be expecting something a little different.

Inkerupted Communications
Katie is playing Splatoon and getting angry. "Why is there no way to communicate with these people? How am I meant to play a team game when my team doesn't acknowledge me?"

Gameplay; Katie's squid has voice bubbles from the in-game communication thing around here, her team is paying no attention. "On me!" "On me!" "Superjump to me!"

Katie's squid is running around with the rollerbrush in a weird pattern that doesn't cover that much ground.

Zooms out; it says "PAINT THE BASE IDIOTS".

The message is nearly immediately ruined by her team and the other team fighting on top of it. Angry face.

Missed-A Gimmick
Katie is playing that Animal Crossing decorator's game.

"This amiibo card and scanner thing is pretty alright, I guess."

Part of the scanner somehow peels off. "Eh?"

Pulls it all off, turns out the scanner is an e-reader repackaged.

Peels off her 3DS, it's a virtual boy repackaged.

Nintendo Person Guy: "Hey you know what, we should make a board game based on Fire Emblem! It already kind of plays like a board game and a board game could appeal to a wider audience."
Other Nintendo Person Guy: "Nah, we already tried that, it didn't make it past playtesting because the game never ended. Players, like in the actual game, did everything they could to keep their units alive."
Nintendo Person Guy: "Oh, well maybe we can revise the rules a bit to force players to be more aggressive?"
Other Nintendo Person Guy: "No, no, you don't understand..."
While they're talking, you can see two players playtesting the game. One player's unit gets killed and suddenly they rapidly set the game back up to its starting state.

Café Détente:
Two Splatoons battle for territory in a long and grueling match. They retire afterwards to Café Lobbé. Two rival Inklings wind up on opposite sides of a table. One reaches for their coffee and accidentally knocks it over. It makes the table brown. The rival looks down at the coffee coming his way and pours his creamer onto the table, pushing the coffee spill back with white creamer. The two rivals lock eyes and reach for their weapons.

Aroma: Total War:
Inklings battle under the hot sun against Octarians. There's a brief lull in the battle.
INKLING: "That's it, I'm just gonna say it...this game stinks."
OCTARIAN: "Aren't you guys having fun?"
INKLING: "Not what I mean."
Stinks lines emanate off everything.

Dry Well/Blood, Squid, & Tears:
Two Inkling teammates fire a steady stream of ink at their enemies. One stops when she runs low on ink. The other one keeps going.
INKLING: "Slow down."
Other Inkling keeps going even with the inkwell dry. Ammunition turns to blood before running out. Inkling shrivels up and falls over.

Custodian/Watch, Man/Rorschach Test Fire
An Inkling unleashes a giant blast of ink and looks at the wall she hit. It looks like a Rorschach test.
INKLING: "Looks like victory."
Inkling walks away. Her enemies fall off the wall, having been plastered to the wall by the attack and concealed from our view by the ink.

Toilet Humors:
TV hosts report on matches about to begin in the lobby. Blue Vs Orange!! Pink Vs Green!! Yellow Vs Brown.
HOST: "I sure hope those last two are throwing ink."

Food Fight:
KATIE: "Oooh, local cuisine."
Trainer Katie enters the Battle Cafe in Mauville. Dodges projectiles from ongoing Pokemon battles. Sees long lines. Finds strange acidic fluids on the seats. A patron starts vibrating violently.
KATIE: "Screw this, I'll grab a Big Mac."

Cold Hard Coins/Gold Hard Cash/Coinstar/Invest in Yourself/Circuit Break the Bank:
Mario is emptying his pockets of all the coins he's collected on an adventure. Luigi is counting an already huge pile of cash in the background.
TOAD: "What are you going to do with all that scratch?"
MARIO: "Eh. Probably invest half of it for my financial future and donate the other half to help the community."
TOAD: "Really?"
MARIO: "Hell, no. I'm going to build another race track with my name on it."
Luigi gives a thumbs up in the background.

IDEA: Robin (Male/female/it) is reading a book in the living room or somewhere, flips a page and throws the book away. He/she/it then grabs another copy of the book out of a massive pile and does the same thing again. (coz robin chucks away tomes when he/she's done using them as if they were trash.)

Roy crashes in through a wall in a vehicle.

Peach: "Actually, Lucas told us you and Ryu were coming."
Doctor Mario: "You're probably gonna have to pay for that property damage, you know."
Ryu: "Hey."
They leave.

Master Hand: ROY! YOU'RE BACK
Roy: I am back! Did you miss m
Master Hand: YOU'RE PAYING FOR THAT.

A few random smashers say "Hey" to Roy

Marth is reading a book on the couch. Roy sits down grumpily
Marth: Welcome back.

[The Dark Deceiver]

Idea:

Erk from Fire Emblem is using a Thunder Tome against some random mooks.
Suddenly the tome's pages spontaneously shred then and there.
He tosses the torn up book aside and pulls out another tome.

Reason: My younger brother and I always joked about why tomes would get destroyed if the Mages using them used magic. We came up with two theories:

1. They rip a page out, toss it into the air, and it turns into whatever spell they're using.
2. After so many uses, the tome inexplicably shreds on its own, which we both thought would be amusing.

Idea 2:

A WoW player (race doesn't matter) is shown flying on a gryphon for several panels.
Cue the last panel where the player is a skeleton, still flying on that same gryphon.

Reason: FLYING ON THOSE daisies THINGS TO GET FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER TOOK SO LONG.

Florina and Wallace from Fire Emblem are fighting a bunch of mooks, when some Sages show up. Since Wallace, and all Generals in general, have low resistance, she rescues him. On her Pegasus. And it's WALLACE.

Reason: I've always found it funny that meek little Florina can rescue Generals and other giant characters.
I'm sorry if it's not funny to anyone else.

Pros and Condiments/Ration Rationale:
Ness and company stop to eat after a rough battle.
PAULA: "Let's see, here's a Double Burger for Ness. A Magic Tart for me."
Ness digs in while Paula empties the backpack for anything else.
PAULA: "...and here's a Pack of Ketchup for Jeff and some Delisauce for Poo."
Both give her the stink eye.
PAULA: "Hey, Jeff, you don't have any psychic powers to recharge and the last time I gave you Western food you spent three hours in the bathroom...Poo."
In background Ness telekinetically grabs Ketchup Pack to use on his burger.

Right of Way/X-ing Files:
Variant on a previous idea.
Man drives taxi/van. Across the road he's traveling comes Ness and company. He hits the brakes just in time to stop.
DRIVER: "Hey, you stupid...!!"
He shuts up when all four kids look at him. Three with glowing eyes and telekinetic lightning emanating from them, the fourth carrying a bazooka. The driver waits till they walk past and continues on his way.

Zoom of Doom/Unusually Fast Oddballs:
Alternate delivery has him hit them while they try to teleport. He doesn't know what he hit, he just knows there are four kid-shaped dents in the side of his van.

Never Ending Battle/Circular Logic/Colors of the Wind-Up/Swirl/Kalimari Go-Round:
Two Splatoons battle for Turf in a circular arena. The two teams won't disperse and be effective. They stay bunched up and travel in the same direction on opposite sides of the map, painting as they go. Last panel is animated, showing a bird's eye view of a spinning blue and orange Yin-Yang.

Family ROYunion

Roy, remembering the welcoming that Mewtwo and Lucas had, comes in like he's a superstar.

Roy: Hey everyone! I'm back!
*Everyone is just sitting around watching TV not even looking*
Roy: Um... a party? Shouldn't there be a party?

*Megaman comes in with Ryu*
Megaman: Guys, meet Ryu, an old friend of mine. He's joining us.

*Everyone immediately runs up to Ryu and gushes over him while complimenting him, leaving Roy all alone at the other end of the room*

Now that Roy has been all but officially confirmed for DLC I instantly thought of Awkward Zombie (I've been reading since around 2006, btw) and have spent some of the day trying to come up with a decent comic. Here's what I've got.
Roy is sitting sad and alone outside the smash house when Luigi comes up to the front door carrying a DeDeDe's worth of snacks and trips over Roy.
L: "Oh hey, Rob!"
R: "It's Roy."
L: (cutting him off) "I haven't seen you around in a while, (Roy, ignored while Luigi picks up the snacks: "I've been out here every day since I got fired...") How've you been?"
R: "Misera--"
L: "Hey, I've got an idea! Why don't you come in and join us?"
R: "REALLY?!"
L: "Yeah! Come on in, join the fun!"
R: "Oh my gosh! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
Luigi opens the door after handing the snacks to Roy and announces to the room, "Hey guys I'm back and you'll never guess who I brought with me: Ryu!" Ryu enters in front of Roy and everyone cheers while Roy sobs more, completely ignored again.

I love the way you've been pointing out how Nintendo has pretty much forgotten about Roy until now and I half feel like they read your comic too with how they announce his return right next to a much more popular character. Also, I tend to run on sentence a lot.
Anyway, that's my idea, feel free to alter as needed!

Killer Contracts/Contracted Disease:
Ness pays off the Runaway Five's contract with a Wad of Bills. Later pays off another one of their obligations with a Diamond. Ness is later shown defeating some weird creature or completing some odd request. He receives a ruby studded scepter or other rare item like a shrub that grows dollar bills. He's excited to get the item, but then as he's walking away he finds the Runaway Five chained to a circus wagon. Looks down at his new treasure and sighs. Last panel has Ness freeing the Runaway Five for the third time. They give him some Runaway Five merchandise and run off again. Possibly towards a human trafficker or organ thief.

Diamonds Are Forever/Carbon Pal-lotrope:
One of Ness's party members gets diamondized. The crew drags the victim to the store and buy liquid fabric softener.
Possible alternate has Ness and company save the Runaway Five by trading in a diamondized party member.

Cephalo-Peas-in-a-Pod/Color Blind Love:
Two star crossed lovers are on rival Splatoons. They spend the battle flirting and making out instead of fighting. The battle ends. The two are spotted by one of their teammates. One flirt flees. The other can't because he's got lip shaped opposite color ink on his neck and is slowed down.
