Sounds more like you're butthurt than anything. I don't see any trolling in his criticism.

Did it really seem like I was offended?

Certainly from what I heard, DD has way too much dialogue and tends to insult the player's intelligence, but it is not an abomination. I doubt it's worse than, say, Tales of Symphonia 2.

Also, Paco has the tendency to attack anything that people seem to agree on, and that's quite a bit like trolling. Not that I care too much, but it does make our...community, if you will, slightly less pleasant.

is it ok if I revive this? Sorry if it's too long dead, but seeing as I'm guessing a few people got this for Christmas then it'd be more active right?

Anyways, I'm up to the clouds of passaj thing, just about to board it. I don't really see how people can say the game has gotten easier, maybe one or two of the puzzles aren't as tricky but I'm not that far in the game for me to have done the harder things really. The bosses remain pretty hard, with only the Ice Queen posing a bit of a threat to me when like 2 people died. Unless you summon rush them and yeah then it's not so tough (but I'm not even half way so the bosses really aren't so tough). There is quite a bit of dialogue but it's not that bad. One thing that has sort of confused me is the Golden Sun event, did it save the world because it brought Alchemy back or was it bad because like... well tbh I don't know why it's that bad haha. Anyone care to explain?

Both, really, since Alchemy can be used for both good and bad. The world has stopped shrinking, though. However, the great power of Alchemy also caused wars and such.

So I got Dark Dawn for Christmas, and it's a ton of fun, but my preconceptions about it being not very difficult seem to be right. I really like it, but I wish some of the bosses were more challenging. Yesterday, I fought that salamander in the bog, and it went down with maybe two rounds of high powered spells and one round of summoning. The Mountain Roc was even more disappointing in my opinion, because they hyped it up to be really tough, yet I defeated it with one round of preset summoning and two and a half rounds of high level spells. The only character that came close to a KO during the battle was Reif, and I was going to heal him at the third turn anyway. Come to think of it, only one of my characters got KO'ed ever, if I remember correctly. And I don't level grind or anything, I do go out of my way to collect djinn and summon tablets and items though.

Maybe GSDD seems easier compared to the other grinding-obsessed RPGs I've played lately, and maybe I'm just way more experienced in Golden Sun than any other RPG but it's a bit of a disappointment as far as difficulty goes. But then again, it's not supposed to be a super hardcoar grindfest, it's a puzzle game more than anything else.

The final boss suuuuuucks.

Does anyone know how to get that one summon tablet that's in a maze of a ton of rooms? I tried for a while but I could never reach the end.

You can find it on gameFAQs, but I don't remember which guide had it

So since there's probably going to be a fourth game, seeing as DD ended kind of vaugely, or so I've heard, and you don't hear much about what happened to Piers, Felix and Sheba. I hypothesize that the fourth game will star Felix's daughter as the main character. Why daughter? Because fans will start to complain and be all hurtbutt if there is another male squire as the main character, and Camelot has shown decent foresight when it comes to pleasing their fans.

Not to mention the alchemy seal also sealed away this "great evil"
I'm up to that Town inside the tree with the alchemy well, and i can't seem to find the temple after i stopped the alchemy well.

Any help?
