I'm getting this for Christmas, I've heard a lot of people say it's easy but I hope they're exaggerating or that seeing as I often fail at video games it is more difficult for me.

Part of the comments about Dark Dawn being easy is because the game series in general is pretty easy (aside from the final bosses and optional bosses and FUCKING AIR'S ROCK), and also because some fans who played the game when they first came out were young and inexperienced, so fast-forward ten years later and a game series that seemed difficult to them back then is not so challenging now.

Then again, if you wanted to play a difficult RPG, you should play Demons Souls or Etrian Odyssey.

I'm probably going to get Dark Dawn for Christmas. I plan on using maps to make sure I collect everything that I need to before the various points of no return I've heard so much about.

Im replaying the first GS and I remember it was WAY WAY MORE difficult when I played it when I was 10.

I just recently replayed both of the first two games, this game is indeed a bit easier in comparison.

Especially what with all the hand-holding the game does for you

Beat the Jupiter Lighthouse, boss fight there was easy as crap other than having to heal Sheba every 5 seconds.

I actually had a little trouble on that first pseudo boss fight, against the three agent dudes. They immediately drained off all my psynergy, so I just spammed summons and herbs. Got lucky with the reviving Djinni succeeding every time.
But after that, nothing's proven a challenge yet. Kinda wondering if I should run away from every other battle, keep myself deliberately underleveled lolol

So now on my second file I have all djinn, so my current team setup is like this
Matthew: paladin (5merc4mars)
Tyrell: chaos lord (7venus2mars)
karis: fire monk (i think that was it)(3jupit6mars)(short end of the stick on picking djinn)
Rief: pure mage (4venus5jupit)
earth adept 2: paladin (same setup as matthew)
fire adept 2: war adept (7jupit2mars)
wind adept 2: gladiator (7venus2jupit)
water adept 2: whatever 8 mercury gives you (and a jupiter on standby)

And I find spamming summons not all that good, because while your djinn are on standby/recovery, you have no stats and no class of any worth, meaning you're easily killed.
Also I really miss the fake 3d graphics of old.

His seemingly 100% accurate death spells don't help.

Best way to beat Dullahan (at least in TLA) is to summon spam Haures and whatever else is left. Never try to take him head on in a psynergy fight because he will almost always win.

I beat the two previous games compleatly. It takes a long time but you can make any class you want with any uber summon. The secret bosses in the second game were a bit difficult but i got through them. I still need to get the new game but I can't buy it yet, need cheddar and I doubt I will get any for christmas as I asked for an actual gift.
