oh I forgot about the Mega Man thread. I bet I could blab on and on about the series lore and people would actually care!! I really like it for some reason and I never have anyone to talk about it with.

Personally all I want is for a new Mega Man game to come out at all.

A friend of mine started replaying the Battle Network games, and now I am too, starting with red sun.
Now if I can only find a GBA cable...

Running my way through Zero 2

This game has like
the best boss music out of the series.

But yeah, i'm excited to move on to 3 since its my favorite of the bunch.

(I'm also looking into ZX, it any good?)

ZX is really good, it's pretty much more MMZero with some cool transformations instead of choosing an elemental chip... and a confusing map system for an open sidescrolling world similar to the first MMZero.

ZXA is also really, really good, what with the actually turning into the bosses bit. There's also like 30 of them so there's a lot of variety.

There are like ten pseudoroids, and you turn into them and they've got wacked out movement and shit.
There are 4 of what we'll call the game's robot masters, and you turn into them too but they're mostly just weapon changes.
Then there's also Model A, which is effectively your standard form; also Model ZX which plays nearly identical to the Zero series games.
Since this is garbled English, please refer to the brutal attack of confusion.

In Mega Man 3 today, I bested the Yellow Devil MK II and the Hologram Mega Mans, but the bit where you rematch the Robot Masters is annoying because of

HARD MAN

Why they hell is he immune to everything that isn't the Magnet Missile, the Hard Knuckles and the Gemini Laser [which only does 1 bar of damage each time)?! It's so easy to run out of that stuff!! Then you have no hope of beating him without getting a Game Over. WHY?!

The others aren't too bad though. Ironically, the first time I tried Top Man in the game I did it on my first attempt, with the Mega Buster, but when I was trying to use his weakness (the Hard Knuckle) I kept missing or hitting him when he was spinning instead. Huh.

I don't like that weapon. It's too slow.

I believe you can kill Hard Man with the Mega Buster.

You can, but it doesn't do that much.

And how are you running out of Magnet Missles before Hard Man?

I thought it just pinged off...

I had used some up on the previous stage, so I didn't have a full stock I think. Plus they run out really quickly.
