Wait, what? Maybe Sony hasn't made a humongous debut with the PS3, but the PS2 was (and still technically is) a monumental part of its generation, and gaming as a whole. As for EA, they are some of the worst publishers of the gaming industry, I'll give that to you (Activi$ion takes first).
