how is Ravio "anime" and what does that even mean

he's a standard smiley merchant guy, the kind who appear in at least half of the titles

also I tried to leave Lorule to die at the end by not wishing on the triforce and it wouldn't let me this game is a piece of shit

honestly idk wtf u mean

The ending in general was really derivative of other Zeldas, when Hilda closed her eyes and the text paused I thought "It's gonna go DUN and she'll open them suddenly all angry" and I was super right

She had pretty nice motives but they were basically the same as WW Dorf's; mad jelly of Hyrule, steal the triforce

I mean it's sorta Anime in the way the melodramatics flow. It just felt kinda like a 'typical' anime does. Maybe it just has to do with the entire plot popping-off in the last half-hour I dunno. Also a lot of the characters felt like the kinds of characters indicative of the stereotypical image of an anime. It's not bad or anything, though. I still liked it.

that's hella vague

Skyward Sword could be said to have anime like qualities, for example it has Zelda as Link's childhood friend and love interest, a common theme in anime that you can name and cite examples of

Like I said LBW is just (painfully) typical Zelda stuff

In retrospect I don't really know what I'm talking about. I guess I mean that LBW has a really dramatic final act where a lot happens out of almost nowhere, followed by an almost painfully utopian ending. This doesn't really have anything to do with anime so but it is the thought I am having about the ending now. So basically it's the standard Zelda ending, but without the bittersweet twist a lot of them have going for it.

To me Skyward Sword felt Lovecraftian throughout. I think it was Domos ugly cousin that did it. And Ghirahim. XD

Seriously.
WHERE IS THIS MERLIN I KEEP HEARING OF

What harm could come from imprisoning a hellinternet beast every night and making it hate humanity and what it stands for?
Then we can release it back into the wild.

I enjoyed LBW. I've never really played ALttP (well, I did try once, but I was horrible at it and never tried again), so I have no complaints about the similarities they share. What I really liked was that the dungeons were a lot more puzzle based than in previous games. You actually had to think rather than just spam the dungeon item.

Speaking of items, I thought the rental system was an interesting idea. Having access to things like the hookshot and bow before they were strictly necessary was fun, but getting a game over and having to re-rent everything again was kind of annoying, especially when you were saving up to buy one in particular (I speak from experience). Finding Lost Maiamais to get upgrades gave me an incentive to actively hunt down collectibles in a Zelda game, though to be fair I did that in Minish Cap too.
