In Washington State, it's illegal to carry a concealed weapon over 6 ft long on your person.

Assuming you had a weapon like some sort of polestaff or something that was 6ft long the only way you could conceal it was if you were above 6ft tall and it was down your back and down a pant leg, but then you can't move around that much.

Does it count if its in a carrying case? Maybe its in a long case similar to those guys from Kung Fu Hustle.

Yeah, but the law probably has some sort of hole in it that the gov't would manipulate. Like, that the entire weapon is 6 feet long, and that it doesn't count when it's detached. I don't know... Lawyers can be pretty badass.
