Oh, I used to see that, back in like, 5th grade I think. But for me it was an anxiety thing, so idk about you. It eventually just... went away.Miss StarSeed wrote:I see flashes of light and bug-related things sometimes, when there is in fact no light or bugs there when the vision/image goes away. That's a little worrying but my doctor didn't reccommend a therapist and I'll use that as my excuse for not going.

I never had it until several months ago, and I thought it was because I was depressed. It didn't go away even when I was on the medication though, and I'm off the medication now and it still happens occassionally. It's not really a bother or anything, but I know sometimes it freaks the crap out of me like when I think I just walked through a massive spider web, but when I go to swat it away, it bursts into light, and then disappears. 8CBacon wrote:Oh, I used to see that, back in like, 5th grade I think. In all seriousness, though, my tics vary. There's no certain tic that I do more than another. Sometimes it's a noise, sometimes it's extending and contracting my arm, sometimes it's shutting my eyes hard then opening them as I thrust my head forward, sometimes it's bracing my knees and then letting them go limp as I stand (without falling down), and sometimes it's hitting my shoulder against the back of my head. And those are just a select few of them that immediately come to mind.

Oh, mine was more like... light dots vaguely bug shaped. But daisies that sounds freaky.Miss StarSeed wrote:I never had it until several months ago, and I thought it was because I was depressed. That's just one example. The first time it happened, I thought there were fireflies in the house, but when I caught one, I opened my hands and it had disappeared, and then all the others slowly faded out of existence.Bacon wrote:Miss StarSeed wrote:I never had it until several months ago, and I thought it was because I was depressed. Most of the time it's spider-related, which doesn't surprise me since I'm arachnophobic. But yeah, I do get the light dots that are vaguely bug shaped sometimes.

Yeah, same with me.The Big Cheese wrote:I'm -quite- paranoid. I fear repercussions of what I do, even if I never do them. Usually the repercussions I think of are crazy or logical. I never voice them though, even I know when its too weird to be true.
I also have a little Obsessive compulsive disorder... I wash my hands after touching anything, be it door nobs, sinks, my computer. Especially other people.
I don't even really know what disease I'm expecting to pick up from touching a door.

I have a weird thing where I am very anal about straightening everything. My hair, my clothes, jewelry, pictures, bedspreads... etc. Even just straightening it once isn't usually enough, and sometimes I actually get rulers to make sure it is absolutely effing straight.
Would that be some kind of OCD, or am I just weird?
