-games that aren't challengingly difficult but frustratingly impossible difficult
-games that make you cross the world and back multiple times just to talk to a guy
-games that nerf things that shouldn't be nerfed (We miss you wallclimb)
-games with things like Smash Bros infamous 'FAILURE' when you mess up
-games that make graphics a priority over gameplay
-games that you can finish in half a day

You mean copious amounts of 'fake difficulty'? Y'know, where instead of making the game genuinely more of a challenge, they just give the player a distinctly unfair disadvantage. Y'know, like in a strategy game the opponent gets resource boosts for no reason, or gets free units regularly. Or a racing game where the opponents go faster than they should be able to. Or a FPS where the enemies know where you are at all times. Or a fighting game where the other fighters get instant reflexes or don't have to perform the right actions to do a combo. Or in any game where something just gets harder for a reason any way related to the camera (I'm looking at you, God of War)!Koeqepp wrote:-games that aren't challengingly difficult but frustratingly impossible difficult

Fuck you Fallout 3, removing a file with all 20 bobbleheads and all behemoths done. When I started with like, 4 bobbleheads and 2 behemoths. Also, on the subject of hate, and Fallout 3, ALBINO SCORPIONS.Bacon wrote:Games where they don't ask you if you want to delete your saved data.
I'VE DONE THIS SO MANY TIMES.

Oh, um. Games that promise large amounts of sandbox and nonlinear gameplay. And don't deliver. Fable 2, looking at you.
Fake difficulty with bosses. Prototype, you whore.
Game with easy end game bosses. Bioshock, man up.
RPGs that force grinding.
RPGs that have unmarked sidequests.
RTSs that make multiplayer (a lot of times) devolve into ARMOR SPAM. Compay of Heroes, watching you.
PC games in general for making me buy things for my computer.
Short-fucking-games.
DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA.HWEE KAPSHURED IT FOR KAYOSS
SQUAD BROKEN.

Games that switch your save data around after you save so the person who saved most recently has their save at the top.
It's supposed to be more convenient, but 9/10 it just makes things more confusing and increases the chance of you saving over the wrong data. If I save in slot 2, I expect my save data to stay there.
