Castlevania: Symphony of the General Thread
So, why not having a thread about Castlevania? Be wary that I made this only with having people to talk about the upcoming Lords of Shadow 2, which features Dracula as a main character.

I played the first Lords of Shadow a bunch and while I enjoy the reboot for the story, themes and characters (as well as the magnificent voice-acting), I feel the gameplay left a bit to be desired.

Re: Castlevania: Symphony of the General Thread
I am planning on buying Lords of Shadow 2. I bought Lords of Shadow last year after beating Mirror of Fate for the 3DS. I am seriously impressed with MercurySteam.
My favorite games in the Castlevania series, however, are still Aria of Sorrow and Order of Ecclesia.

I have not, as I don't think it's on steam. Are there any significant changes/improvements?Raging Ghost wrote: Did you tried the LoS2 demo?

Re: Castlevania: Symphony of the General Thread
never played a castlevania game before, but i spoiled myself super bad by reading the entirety of the og storyline's Dracula's history. Wish I had played them.
Then I read the reboot's story. I sure did hate it.

Aria of Sorrow is still my favourite Castlevania game. It did all the things right for the metroidvania games. The sequel messed up with adding grinding for souls.
Re: Castlevania: Symphony of the General Thread
Castlevania: Judgement was super fun, my favorite character to use was Death because he had an instant kill move combo.

He who fights monsters should see to it that he himself does not become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.
