Agnès gets better, but never as good as Ringabel and Edea.

Man, this game is actually kinda challenging, I like it

Post by Rinoko »

Welp, first thing I learned during the first dungeon-like area in the game is that I need to go grind some experience and cheddar. I kept getting my butt routinely handed to me by those stupid freaking Orcs. By the time I beat Crowe, I had 20 MP left on my White Mage, everyone poisoned, and no Poisona or Antidotes.

I just....wow

Wow

Uhh, WOW

So, umm, Pierre le Profiteur whatever his name is just kicked my pasty white butt.

That was a really sudden spike in difficulty. And from what I'm reading, there's no getting around that Takeover attack.

Looks like White Mage Agnes gets to work overtime.

Yeah. Don't underestimate those blue exclamation mark bosses or they will make you regret it.

Pre chapter "what are you doing you were supposed to destroy the crystals why are you making things even harder on yourself" the hardest one imo is where you have to fight what's their names Summoner, Ranger, Dragoon at the same time.

Ugh, I'm getting flashbacks. And Alternis is just as bad.

I can't bother to remember anyone's name in this game

Post by Rinoko »

OK, I beat Frenchy McCapitalism. Beating a really tough boss for a class I don't want, YEEEAAAH!

And now I'm finding out that I can't do the next part of the side quest until I finish the Temple of Wind.

DANG IT I WANT MY MAGIC SWORD JOB. I KNOW YOU GET IT FROM ARABIC GUY.

I'm a sucker for a fancy hat

I'm not saying it's not a good class, just not one that I want to use. I don't like that Merchant attacks cost cheddar to use.

Merchants do have the raddest outfits, though.

You don't level Merchant for the Use cheddar -> Damage abilities, you level them up for their support abilities and to make loadsamoney with Big Pharma. Each job class has 14 levels, and the Merchant only shines in the late ones.

That is what we in the business call "fair"

Post by Rinoko »

I did a whole bunch of bull crap and got a bunch of new classes and now I'm in Florem. And, uhh, I guess we need to go see pervey sage again and, uhh, get Agnes some sexy clothes? This kind of reminds me of the Wall Market section of FFVII.

And MAN OH MAN AM I LIKING THE SIDE QUESTS HERE. Let's run around the city talking to people about stupid things and then go to a garden where there are enemies with Instant Death abilities.

JOY

Edit: Also right now I've got Tiz as a Monk, Agnes as a White/Time Mage, Edea as a Spell Fencer/Knight, and Ringabel as a Thief/Black Mage
