He's a pain in the booty.

After he transforms, default everyone, then in the 2 or so turns he's vulnerable you have to attack and heal up. It's a physical move so cast protect as much as you can before he transforms.

The next one is much easier imo for some reason.

I grinded out some levels and JP, took down Salve Maker, and now a friend has uploaded a Lightning attack with over 100K damage so this bastard's going down.

I'm still amused how they just breeze over the fact they just murdered people and took there powers. Oh jrpg logic.

To be fair, the people you murder are down right cartoonishly evil

Also good lord why is the one Knight ability I want so stupidly far along in the Knight class.
I just want full cover so I can use the strategy I was doing in the demo

I'm in Chapter 5 now. Totally called what was going to happen and knew the identity of Alternis. This does explain why Bravely Default is so gung-ho about killing everyone.

Hey, here's some fun combos.

Natural talent + Phantom weapon + Knuckle Lore (or Monk class)
Tired of black magic not being worth shit? Natural talent skyrockets your attack when you have no weapons, boosted further by knuckle lore, which is then applied to your magic attack thanks to phantom weapon! Downsides include wafer thin defenses. Doesn't have to be black magic, any will do so long as it attacks. Maybe summon or time magic if you want.

Sword magic drain + Dark Knight
Rage can do five dark banes per use if only it weren't for that limiting hp. Never fear, sword magic, specifically Drain, applies to your specials! Now only the rest of your party members will die when you use dark nebula!

BP recovery + a party member subbed as Red Mage w/ group cast
BP recovery gives you 2 BP every time a status move hits you, and you can just start spamming poison on your team with group cast. Finish it with a group cast poisona and that's 6 BP for every member. Downsides include poison never hitting goddam why do I have such great magic defense.

Hunter with Precision, Axe Lore, Two-Handed and the Giant Axe. If you ever wanted to do multiple thousands of damage per physical attack.

Monk monk monk monk monk. And more monk.

Seriously I have a friend who regularly uploads a 400K+ move with a naked monk. No armor, no weapons, just pure power. He could get it higher with Speculate but he dislikes that ability.

I haven't played the full game yet, or even much of the demo, but I have a question. Is Ninja as broken as it seems? It doesn't seem like there's a random encounter that can't be beat on the first turn by spamming brave attacks with ninjas.

Ninjas are quite strong but do jack shit against enemies with high physical defense because each weapon is counted separately and not both weapons taken together.

Utsusemi with Transience is super broken. You can bodaciously put it on autobattle and you'll win every fight (against a single enemy).

If the single enemy doesn't use brave. Or Magic.
