I don't understand why major sports victories are celebrated by rioting and burning stuff. My roommate is from Maryland and just showed me a video his friend in Baltimore took of people running around yelling and rioting while the police try and keep things under control.
Last semester I met someone who celebrated University of Kentucky (my university) winning the NCAA basketball championship thing and had stories of being SHOT at by Lexington (city the university is in) riot police (rubber bullets, of course) in an attempt to keep crazy college student arsonists on campus.
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE DO THIS.

I really don't care that much about the Super Bowl unless my Seahawks are playing(which doesn't happen often ;_; ), so I mainly just watch for the commercials. This year was pretty disappointing in that aspect. GoDaddy was just stupid as always, and even Doritos and Bud Light weren't that funny.

I went to a party with just a small group of friends and we just used it more as an excuse to get wasted where the amount we drank was determined by our proficiency in video games. We're not really the type to riot in the streets (or even care about who won really). In fact, by the end of the nit, we were freaking out over who was well enough to drive home (it was nobody, we were all in that hallucinogenic kind of drunk state).
But yeah, it's definitely the booze.

I only ever pay attention to the Super Bowl for snacks, but this year my mom's boyfriend dragged us to one of his loser friends' house and all we had was shrimp and celery.
Most of the time we just sat awkwardly while the dude made gross sexist comments about every single female that showed up on the screen.
