I'm not sure about ultimate weapons, I did Robo's quest but end up finding a better arm in the Reptite lair quest.

Almost every Ultimate Weapon is a gimmick weapon, which is both a blessing and a curse, as some of them a real good because they are just critical hit tweaks (i.e., Crono's Rainbow and Frog'sMasamune II) although others are more of a mixed bag because they do damage based on random chance, health, or what have you.Gryewolf wrote:I'm not sure about ultimate weapons, I did Robo's quest but end up finding a better arm in the Reptite lair quest.
ALSO if you haven't opened all the sealed chests yet, they have a trick to them: If you examine but do not open them in the middle ages, you can open them in the present and their contents will be upgraded. This is where you get most of the elemental plates, if I recall.

Bitch please I can through a rainbow vest dinner with all these colorful plates I got.
I don't need the critical arm for Robo and I've had the Rainbow for a while now.

Oh, I wasn't sure how far along you were in the story.
Did you get the Sun stone equipment, because it and the rainbow stuff are what I would call a good minimum for the endgame.
By the way, do you have the DS version or an older version.

There are a few armors you only get for having both the rainbow shell and sunstone, but you did that so yeah.
Also I was going to tell you that you may want to skip over the Lost Sanctuary or whatever it is called, but then I read the rest of your post.
There is another Bonus Dungeon that you get for beating the game once, and it is actually fairly decent. It's at least better then the LS

Yeah but you get that medal for Frog when you beat it.
And yeah I got the Prism stuff.

Re: The grand thread of RPGs-Slowly becoming the chrono thre
Decided to play Fallout NV now that I can do all the DLC. Playing a knightly-type who wields a sword, with the intention to get him a fire sword eventually, who favors talking over fighting but has the melee skill to cut down people who try killing him. Also decided to semi-RP his growth. Depending on what happens, he might be a protector of the people or a fallen knight or anything in between.
Stuff goes here later.

The Black Omen in CT stands out for being a final dungeon that isn't annoying.

It is really goddam long though.
Still, one of my favorite final dungeons, but also long.

"Hmm we have this scarred, battle-hardened badass motherfucker who undresses women by existing... I KNOW, LET'S YAOI HIM THE FUCK UP"
I take personal offense at this, and that's a god damn achievement

It's a real shame the US never got the third Summon Night: Swordcraft Story game. It looked really good and the second one in the series was probably one of my favorite GBA titles.
Also it was great because the battle system played like how the Tales of Phantasia GBA port should have played (as in, not trudging around booty-deep in molasses)

Chrono, Ayla, and Marle's speed is maxed out and I have 5 speed capsules just sitting around, the Black Omen is great.
Beat the Mammon Machine in 7 turns.
Not bad I'd say

Did you have Frog on your team?
Attacking the Mammon Machine with the Masamune heals Frog.
