I don't think you're supposed to; I tried and I got a cramp 10 minutes in, maybe 5. Seriously, you're just better off holding the thing in your clenched fist and draw. Again, I'm chalking that freakish method of drawing up to CWC flat-out refusing to take any hints from anyone. If a guy tries to show him how, his twisted way of thinking will make him assume that guy is gay and is coming on to him, resulting in a vicious outburst. If a girl tries to show him, he'll take it the wrong way and think she's hitting on him, resulting in some unpleasant situations. And since Bob and Barb don't give constructive criticism and don't care about his webcomic, he's got nothing on that front.

Hey lookit, hes drawing on lined paper! I didnt know you could make a comic off of lined paper, due to the lines acting as a crutch to beginning artists...

I tried. I died.

My guess is that Chris started doing this at an early age and nobody tried to correct it then. Or maybe someone tried to correct it but either Chris or his parents played the autism card without understanding autism.

Its no wonder his art sucks...well... besides the whole autism thing that prevents him from getting better at drawing...

he's just using the autism thing as a excuse
he has gotten better a drawing, yet it doesn't seem that way

Case in point, I have autism myself, and my drawing is not only much nicer'n his, I freakin' take lessons from my friends on how to do it better XD Not that its hard to be a better drawer'n that dude, he's just a mentalcase who's too stupid to take advice.

It does look like he's improved since he first started drawing, at least a little. I mean he still really freaking sucks, but it's a bit better. If he consciously put time and effort into improving he probably wouldn't be all that bad.

Of course, we all know how likely that is.

His writing, unfortunately, has not improved in the slightest.

There's absolutely no reason, autism or otherwise his art hasn't improved significantly for how long he's been drawing.
My opinion, given his thought process, he is drawing the right way, everything he is doing is accurate, cause as we all know, chris can do no wrong.

Chris can't improve on his art because that would mean he'd have to work on something.

Well, believe it or not, that's because the guy delivered a grand total of 11 issues in 11 YEARS. That's right, the guy is such a sloth that he does things when it suits him, and quite often prefers to coast on his "reputation".

Compare Rob Liefeld of Marvel and Image comics fame, who produced issues so late it became a running gag, and the whole Duke Nukem Forever story, where the game was stuck in limbo for a decade and more. At least their original products before the long stalls were hot and popular, whereas Chris-chan is just that full of himself. And whereas Liefeld produces work every once in a while, and Duke Nukem is coming out this year (finally!!), Sonichu is still suffering from a massive schedule slip.

That's how bad it is, people, that's how bad it is. It's inevitable that CWC get *some* improvement after so long, but had he worked on the daisies comic more regularly, his artwork might actually become tolerable.

But that's not irks me right now, people, oh no. I don't believe it took me so long to get it, but I did.

CWC and his posse are epically lousy 'superheroes'.

Think about it; can you name out of the issues and stories thus far, any arc or image that dealt with actually saving normal joe schmoes from danger, aside from the first issue (Sonic #0)? No seriously. Take your time. Read through this thread, or read through the archives at CWCpedia.

If you don't want to waste time, here's the answer: NO. He actually doesn't do a single bit of saving anyone. Instead, it's the villains who are the ones picking on him and him particularly. Even when Chris-Chan is saving someone, it's Crystal, who is for all intents and purposes an idealized version of himself with an X instead of a Y chromosome - or she's the representation of his idealized daughter that is the root of his "want white woman" deal. Let that sink in.

Compare actual comic book or video game heroes - the ones who are actually heroes. Link saves Zelda because she's in trouble, and saving her saves the Kingdom because Ganon's a power-mad douchebag. Sonic is a grade-A jerk with an insufferable attitude - but at least he regularly goes out and kicks booty to save his friends because they're his friends, not because he owes them anything. Superman, Batman, etc... may have villains who fight them for personal reasons (Lex Luthor) or because it's fun (the Joker), but you can find at least one frame per issue where a comic book hero is stopping a mugging or pulling a family out of a burning house.

In Sonichu? None of this exists. It's either the villains messing with Chris-Chan (Love Quest, Anchuent Prophecy), insulting his friends (4 Cent Garbage saga, Asperpedia Four, Blake's first appearances), etc... And that first scene in Sonichu? It's just to show that "yeah, he's a hero", but I'm guessing it's supposed to mean "Oh look! Sonichu is awesome!"

[Nostalgia Critic]AAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSS[/NC]

EDIT: Hell, even fucking POKEMON has heroic stories. Hero goes out to explore world, does things, runs into Team Rocket/Magma/Aqua/Galactic/whatever, realizes "hey wait a second, these jerks are gonna hurt everyone!" and goes out to kick booty because it's the right thing to do or because if s/he doesn't, they're going to destroy/take over the world. The contests take a back seat until the bad guys are beaten and their organizations dismantled.

That's because Chris doesn't get storytelling.

He also doesn't get "heroism" and "villainy" beyond "guy who beats up bad guys" and "guy who is mean to good guys".

Airigh, Airigh, Airigh... :)

A rotting log could write better than CWC can. We know you're going to do great ;) And trust us, take your time. You're not going to take nearly as long as Chris-Chan did. :D

So anyways, the thread's pretty darn long. Last I checked, you came up with concept drawings for Magi-chan, Sonichu, and Bubbles, not to mention the kitsune boy. I know you did more, but I seem to have missed those in the massive size of this thread.

BTW, I like Bubbles the best. She's just so darn cute!!

There's some for Rosechu and Blake, too. I need to do Wild and Punchy. I already know what I'm going to do with Punchy though. I better work on that today.

Why thank you! My character specialty has always been awesome girls with water or air powers. I am unsure why.

Rosechu is pretty cool (though since she's based on a rip-off of Amy Rose, her shape was expected. Not your fault, though). Just to be sure, would that be Thor's hammer Mjolnir she's carrying? It would fit with her Electric type... *j/K*

As for Blake, the first pic is pretty cool, the second is apparently a sketch only. Still, pretty good.

As for Punchy... would he have Goku-like "Spiky hair"? since that's what most anime martial artists seem to have.
