His degree plan, begun in 2000, usually takes people about two years to earn. He finally got the degree and certificate set in 2006, around the time he drew the comic you're reading now. It's generally assumed that the degree was given out so Bob would stop pestering the school, as Episode 13 (this comic right now) has evidence suggesting that Chris did poorly in the class. It won't be hard to miss.
He's kind of pop flyin' now, at this point in time. He's getting into animu, he's even gone to two cons, he's got a nice little hangout where he can play pokeymans with the kids, he's got all the video games the taxpayer can buy him, and there's a girl he thinks he has in the bag. His life is basically stress-free, from his perspective.
