No, it's just an advertisement exploiting popular culture to grab more viewers.
Everyone that already likes Futurama will still watch Futurama because it's Futurama, regardless of said devious marketing plot.

I have the entire works of Bone in the original black/white one volume edition. It might be the best comic I own.
